Top 3 Audemars Piguet watches 2018

Each year there is a new set of Audemars Piguet watches released by the manufacturer and every year the watches keep getting better and better in design and in quality as well. Listed below are few of the newer releases by Audemars Piguet for the year 2017.

1.    Royal Oak Quartz

This is one of the most awaited designs amongst the Audemars Piguet watches with the ombre effect diamonds on the bracelet, case and dial of this watch. The base of this watch is white gold with the same material used for the hands as well. It has a date feature include in the dial. The diamonds are arranged in a sort of a random yet organized manner across the entirety of this watch.
The left side of this watch is more densely packed with diamonds, both on the bracelet and the dial. The right-hand side has a more fanned out placement of diamonds on it. This gives it a very beautiful look as it seems like the wind is blowing the diamonds away. This watch has made use of 429 diamonds on the case and bracelet while 112 diamonds are used inside the dial of the watch.

2.    Royal Oak Self Winding

This pink-gold 18-carat watch has that signature Grande Tapisserie design on the dial of the watch. The colour combination used in this watch is what makes it different than the other Audemars Piguet watches that are released in 2017.
The bezel of this watch uses diamonds and the bezel has nickel grey screws which match the nickel-grey colour of the dial; this pulls together the watch perfectly. The hands and markings on the watch are also pink gold colour with a date feature included in the dial.

3.     Royal Oak Tourbillon Extra Thin

The dial design on this Royal Oak watch is different than all the other Audemars Piguet watches of this series. This has a Petite Tapisserie design rather than the usual Grande Tapisserie design found on most of the other watches in the series. The bracelet and case are made from a pink gold 18-carat while the bezel is covered with 32 baguette cut diamonds. The hands and markings are also 18-carat pink gold with a luminescent feature on them.
The dial is a deep chocolate brown colour, paired with the pink gold it gives the watch a formal, edgy look. The new idea of this watch is a standout quality. It gives a sneak peek into the mechanism of this watch, the unique Haute Horlogerie which also shows the movement bridge used in the watches. Not only that, but the calibre used in this watch is said to be the thinnest that is available on the market currently.

These top 3 watches recently designed and released by Audemars Piguet have gotten a lot of attention due to the inimitable designs used in these watches and the innovative methods used to manufacture them. It can be said, without a doubt, that Audemars Piguet watches are one of the best choices you could make to add to your watch collection.

Standout features on the Rolex Milgauss

The whole purpose behind the idea and design of the Rolex Milgauss watch was to make it easier for the scientists to be able to carry their watches without any worries to their workplaces. The problem that regular watches have in research or power plant facilities is that the magnetic rays that are released in these places mess with the mechanism of the watches. So the employees are left with two options; either they continue to wear the damaged watches or choose to not wear watches at all since a watch that does not work is not of much use anyway. However, the Rolex Milgauss changed things around for workers within this profession with an innovative watch design which is said to resist magnetic rays up to 1000 gauss.

Rolex was the first company to ever come up with an idea for a magnet resistant watch in the 1950s. But in the 1980s, the Rolex Milgauss was discontinued and forgotten about for a long while and Rolex had stopped working on it as well. But the revival for this watch came in the year 2007 when Rolex decided to improve on its original Milgauss watch and brought a better, newer version of it back.

The materials that were used in the manufacturing of this watch were made sure to be of extremely high quality. One such material that was used on the Rolex Milgauss was the extremely high grade, resistant to corrosion 904L stainless steel. This stainless steel material is mostly used in high-intensity factories and facilities that have a lot of exposure to strong chemicals or have to deal with a high pressure such as in aerospace industries. Rolex is the only watch company which can afford to include such a high-quality steel in their watches but for the Rolex Milgauss, this high-quality material is justified because this watch has been designed to be able to resist exposure to magnetic rays.

Another outstanding feature on the Rolex Milgauss is that this was the first watch ever to have used the green sapphire crystal in the dial of the watch. Rolex set the bar very high with the design and quality of this watch for other watch companies. The watch hand for seconds is a fluorescent orange colour which has a lightning bolt shape and gives a modern look to the watch.

The calibre used in the Rolex Milgauss was the 3131 movement which was tweaked to suit the model specifications. The reason for the exclusivity of this calibre was that it included a lot of advanced technological features that were made to resist the effects of magnetic fields on this watch. Inside the watch case, there is a magnetic interference shield which does the job of preventing any outside magnetic activity to disturb the working of the watch. A really interesting feature on the Rolex Milgauss is that the density symbol on this watch can only be viewed by a watchmaker that is certified by Rolex.
